Tax Reassessment Information
The below chart shows the 2009 FMV (Fair Market Value) before and after the BAR (Board of Assessment Review) actions on the RP 524's submitted by Leaseholders with Tax ID beginning 144.22-1 which are leased lands with water front lying in the Town of Cuba. For the group represented on the chart, the percent increase was approximately 82% which was reduced to about 22% by the BAR. In that data a significant number of the lots considered in the chart had a final increase of about 17%. A few even had a reduction from the 2008 values with the greatest reduction being about 16%.
Only single family and seasonal residences are considered (Property Codes 210; 260 & 270).
Of a potential 214 applicants, 161 applied for review. As a group, the 53 who did not submit an RP 524 had an increase in FMV from 2008 to 2009 of close to 61%; while as a group, the 161 had an increase of about 22%. Click on the Chart below to see a summary report.
