2/14/08 - Towns of Cuba & Ischua Sewer Project:

The Towns of Cuba and Ischua began the public interaction part of the newly formed sewer districts' waste collection project.  Letters will be issued by February 16th to those owners within the sewer districts who “own” developed property.  Developed property includes those parcels of land within the sewer districts that have dwelling units or public or commercial facilities.  The letter briefs the next steps in the process and provides for feedback from those involved to agree to hookup to the sewer; to provide for the necessary work and maintenance easements on the property or properties as the case may be; and, to provide for feedback to enable locating the grinder pump package on the property.  Agreements and feedback are required to be mailed by Midnight, March 17, 2008.

A copy of the letter can be viewed HERE. And a sample feedback form with aerial photo can be viewed HERE.

Note that on properties having multiple owners listed, the mailing has been sent to only one address and an answer received will be understood to represent the wishes of all parties to the leasehold or deed.  The form provides space to establish who the contact for making installation decisions will be for the property in question.

Note also that while only one property is identified by tax number on the form, the agreement for work permits includes those properties also owned by the same party addressed that fall between the road (path of the sewer mains) and the property identified by specific tax number.  It will be necessary to have easements from the point of attachment to the sewer main from the point of location of the grinder pump.

Obviously, if the decision is made to hook up to the sewer, the easements must be agreed to.

Any questions should be directed to Clark Patterson Lee Design Engineers, Tom Swift @ (800) 274-9000, ext. 1401.
